Gobabeb - Namib Research Institute, in partnership with UNDP and MEFT, hosted a two year programme in educating the Namibian public on various aspects of climate change, its impacts, and how to respond effectively to challlenges.
The programme invited three groups of recent graduates to Gobabeb to participate in a three-week intensive programme of science-based training, equipping them to return to their communities to pass on their knowledge to secondary school learners.
The first CAMP considered causes and effects of climate change.
The second CAMP turned to issues of food and water security.
The third CAMP was concerned with environmental health.
